I thought the concept for the video was very good, but I felt that it would've benefited from more close-up of the people that were singing. As sometimes you could not see the person singing, also having more close-ups would have create a para-social intimacy with the audience.
I think the video suited the genre and beat of the music and the time lapse idea works well along with the many people lip syncing, although this could have been improved with close-ups in some areas.
Loved the concept - particularly shots of the old guy by the tree and the man dressed in black in the recording studio! I agree with some of the lighting issues. It would have been good to up the cutting rate at points to create variety and pace.

ReplyDeleteAlso liked the use of speeded up and reversed footage.
Some performers were much more watchable than others.
Undermined by poor lip sync'ing in places.
