The brief that we were working to was to produce a music video for an unsigned artist. We also had to produce two ancillary products which consisted of a magazine advert and a DVD Digipack Cover to promote our unsigned artist. The artist chosen was called Instinctive Xpression, we came across this artist because he was a friend of Charandas’. We received permission from this artist by email, after we asked if we could use his music.
The genre that the music we received permission for was Pop-Rock. It has various elements of different instruments which allowed us to connote the main conventions of this music genre.
The main thing that attracted us to the artist was the way he came across in the song, especially by his unique style of rapping/singing
